Hello,
Thanks so much for joining me on this blog-spot. I want to welcome you, and invite you to join me in discussions concerning that which matters most to you, and to the Christ we serve here at Emmanuel Church.
We are a "full-service" church, situated six miles north of Freeport in a very friendly community. Our mission statement says "We, the family of Emmanuel Church in Cedarville, are committed to being God's heart, hands and voice, by proclaiming new life through Christ, and by providing ministries that meet the needs of people in our church, the surrounding community and the world."
Our mandate comes from the Apostle Paul's letter to the Colossians, to encourge God's people by proclaiming Christ as our Creator, Redeemer, Sustainer and Friend. To do that, we make every effort to reach out in the Name of Christ, encourage people to consider what it is He has to offer as hope to the lost, the lonely and the hurting. And we encourage our members to use those gifts and graces they have received from Him to unite the body of believers in an army of faith, and equip them to know Him better so they might be more effective in sharing His love with them.
I want to invite you to join us at Emmanuel for worship; Sunday school; our children's (AWANA) and youth (Holy Fire) ministries; Navigator 2:7; missions outreach; and prayer ministries. In addition, we host an annual clothing give away (Oct.); community Thanksgiving dinner (Nov.); Christmas baskets (Dec.); and an annual project designed to meet the need of someone in our community. More information is available elsewhere on this website.
Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call or write. We will respond as quickly as possible.
Until we meet again,
Pastor Jack
